HBO Max confirmed in a teaser that aired this weekend that the new season of the Sex, as well as the City sequel, will premiere in the new year.
Given that season 1 premiered in late 2021, we can imagine that some fans were hoping for a little more before Christmas and New Year’s Day. We now know that this will never happen.
So, what can we expect from Season 2? There aren’t many details that have been confirmed as of yet, but it has been confirmed that John Corbett will return as Aidan.
Meanwhile, following what happened between them and Miranda in season 1, Che will play a significant role. In the meantime, there are no plans for Samantha Jones to appear on the screen. We believe the character will be mentioned again in some way off-screen, however, there are no proposals for Kim Cattrall to return.
Fingers crossed that we will hear more from Sarah Jessica Parker as well as the rest of the cast before the end of the year. We understand that the show is attempting to be nostalgic on a certain level while also providing a better sense of the most recent chapter of these characters’ lives. Let’s hope it has some comedic elements as well as some surprises.
