The theme of Season 6 is burning, in which several women were violently empowered, frequently by lighting things on fire. Dany killed a dozen Khals by burning them to death and seized control of their Khalasar, while Cersei used Greek fire to destroy the Great Sept of Baelor and was crowned Queen of Westeros.
To join Dany in Meereen, Yara Greyjoy piloted her uncle’s fleet while avoiding the fire. Ellaria and her sand serpents also massacred every Martell in Dorne before making a vengeful pact with Lady Olenna Tyrell, the last of her wealthy line. Here is a breakdown of how Game of Thrones Season 6 ended.
EXPLAINED GAME OF THRONES SIXTH SEASON-ENDING!
Cersei’s corner was deserted after Game of Thrones Season 6. She needed a new strategy to escape punishment for his crimes because even King Tommen was unwilling to side with her against the High Sparrow to let the Mountain defend her in a trial by combat.
What Cersei didn’t anticipate was that her last surviving son would commit suicide after seeing this destruction, but a Lannister always pays his debts, as the saying goes. As a fortune teller had predicted, Cersei’s power came at a cost of exactly three children.
The North finally remembers after Game of Thrones Season 6. Everyone is responding to the call of young Lyanna Mormont, who recognizes the brother of Robb Stark as the true King in the North, after Jon Snow and Sansa Stark struggled to gather troops to rise and retake Winterfell from Ramsay Bolton.

The Greyjoy fleet, the power of the Unsullied and the Dothraki, Daenerys Targaryen’s three dragon children, and her now-official right-hand man, Queen Tyrion Lannister, are all ready for battle. It took Daenerys Targaryen nearly six entire seasons to assemble an army loyal and powerful enough to support her claims to the Iron Throne.
She officially left Daario behind at the end of Game of Thrones Season 6 to look after Meereen, but Dany always had an eye on the long term and wanted to be single so she could mingle with potential allies and successors. Queen Cersei is just a heated seat Khaleesi the Incorruptible is waiting to dethrone.
In the end, the show acknowledged that Ned had adopted Lyanna’s infant during the Siege of the Tower, as depicted in Bran’s final flashback.
He was seen telling her that since Robert Baratheon is her fiancé and has Targaryen ancestry and a rightful claim to the Iron Throne, he would probably kill the child if given the chance.
