Whenever it comes to a premiere date, Netflix wants it as soon as possible. This is most likely one of the reasons why expectations have already shifted. Originally, we didn’t think we’d see season 2 until late 2024. Given the amount of work already done on the story, it appears that early 2024 may be more feasible.
If you were to ask us right now, we believe the streaming service plans to bring the Korean drama back in winter/spring 2024. However, we believe they will remain flexible at the same time. We are confident that if it is ready by the end of 2023, they will embrace it.

Don’t rush things just to meet a deadline. Take the long view! We believe that one of the reasons True Detective season 2 failed was due to HBO releasing it earlier than they should have. You want this show to continue for many more seasons… if there is a story for it.
