When he drinks the detective’s blood at the end of this week’s episode, he is shocked to discover that it tastes terrible.
Meanwhile, the detective tells him that he has already suffered enough and that it would be better for him to die as a human rather than succumb to his vampire instincts.
As the first rays of the sun hit the school, the vampire’s body disintegrates and he dies peacefully in her arms.
The detective eventually admits to the trio that she is Anko. She goes on to warn them that there are different types of vampires and that they must be cautious of them.
Anko even tells Kou that she will not allow him to fulfill his insane goal of becoming a vampire, which he did not expect her to know.
It will be interesting to see how far she will go to stop him. Furthermore, it is unclear what his true goals and motivations are.
Episode 12 of Call of the Night should shed some light on Anko’s life before Season 1 concludes one episode later.
