For better or worse, “La Doa,” this week’s best episode of Tales of the Walking Dead, was held back. The first horror in this scenario is undoubtedly a zombie apocalypse.
The second, and real horror, is a well-known tale of ghosts that appear at night as a vengeful witch seeks retribution from beyond.
It’s a more organic adaptation than “Blair/ Gina’s” sci-fi time loop, if only because the ghosts and other supernatural beings work with the zombies more subtly.
We have Eric and Idalia as our “heroes.” When the couple enters the basement at the end of this week, Deborah Kampmeier’s staging turns marvelously surreal.
We don’t know whose head we’re in: Idalia and Eric both assert that all of this madness is inside each other’s heads, so there is nothing but a whirlwind of zombies led by Alma. Their victims increase as their aggression toward one another turns physical.
When the dust settles, Doa Alma, who always lives in the empty house with her parrot perched on her shoulder, can be seen smugly gazing from a portrait on the wall as Eric and Idalia’s bodies lie on the floor.

WHAT DATE DO TALES OF THE WALKING DEAD SEASON 7 PREMIER?
The release day for the sixth episode was September 19, 2022. Currently, the series is not available on OCS in France, but that should change soon.
Unfortunately, there isn’t the seventh episode of Tales of the Walking Dead planned. The first season concludes after 6 episodes, and as of this writing, there has been no announcement of a second season.
Reviews of the show have been mixed, with some praising it for episodes like this week’s success while criticizing it harsher in other places.
Tales of the Walking Dead was popularly successful and gave fans the chance to learn more about some of the supporting cast members from the parent series.
Based on everything here, we have a positive outlook for the future. If Tales of the Walking Dead is renewed, the second season’s premiere date should be set for the end of 2023!

Naturally, if the show is renewed, the next season will follow the same formula and have fewer than 10 episodes.
